We offer link shortening and tracking for all your links, ensuring that any URLs you publish on social media are equipped with tracking codes and shortened appropriately for each social media platform. This enables us to monitor all click-throughs and activity on those links.
To modify this feature, navigate to "Workspace Preferences" at the top right, then scroll down to "Link Shortening." Here, you have the option to toggle the setting to "Shorten and track all shared links" on or off. If you disable this feature, no link shortening or tracking will occur. However, keep in mind that this means certain activities, such as tracking click-throughs for viral sweepstakes or social media posts, will no longer be available.
If you prefer to use a custom domain for your shortened links rather than the default one provided by us, you can do so by selecting the option to create a custom domain. Depending on your plan, this feature may be included at no extra cost, but you may need to reach out to your account manager to enable it if it's currently locked.
When creating a custom domain, simply use your existing domain with "go" prefixed to it (e.g., go.yourdomain.com). However, please note that this is just the first step. You'll need to follow specific instructions provided by your domain provider, such as GoDaddy, to complete the setup process. Detailed instructions can be found by clicking on the provided link within the Workspace Preferences. Once you've completed these steps, we'll activate your custom domain as soon as possible.
