To conduct split tests with up to five different campaigns, follow these steps:
First, select the campaigns you want to test, which can be anywhere from two to five campaigns. This method is excellent for determining which elements of a campaign perform better or worse. For example, you might test different color schemes, button sizes, offers, or call-to-action variations. Each campaign in the split test can even have different email notifications.
To set up a split test:
1. **Access Campaigns:** Go to the campaign overview grid and click on the "Series" tab at the top.
2. **Create a Split Test Series:** Click on "Add New" and select "Split Test Series."
3. **Name Your Series:** Provide an appropriate name for your split test series, such as "Photo Gallery Split Test."
4. **Select Campaigns:** Choose the campaigns you want to include in the split test. You can select up to five campaigns.
5. **Configure Options:** Optionally, you can set up sticky tab options or create popup campaigns for each campaign variation.
6. **Save and Deploy:** Once you've configured the split test series, save your settings and deploy the campaign. You'll receive a unique URL for the split test series that you can share with your audience.
After running the split test, you can analyze the results:
1. **Access Reports:** Navigate to the reports section and switch to the "Data View."
2. **Select Split Test Report:** Choose the split test report option and select the split test series you want to analyze.
3. **Review Results:** The report will display metrics for each campaign included in the split test, allowing you to compare their performance.
Keep in mind that split tests work best for campaigns like photo galleries, video galleries, or testimonial galleries. Avoid using split tests for campaigns where users might need to revisit a specific location, such as referral rewards programs or contests.
Once you've completed your split test, you can access the results in the reports section to determine which campaign variation performed the best. Good luck with your split test!
