Here’s how to connect your Canva account and make the most of this integration.
Step 1: Access the Canva Integration
Whenever you're attaching an image—such as when creating a social post or campaign—the system will open your Asset Library.
You’ll see three tabs:
My Uploads – your existing asset library
Free Stock Images – searchable by keyword
Canva – where your Canva assets will appear
Click on the Canva tab. If this is your first time, you’ll be prompted to connect your Canva account.
Step 2: Connect Your Canva Account
Click the Connect Canva button.
Enter your Canva login credentials (email and password).
If you’re unable to connect, ensure that third-party apps are enabled in your Canva account. You may need an admin to change these permissions in Canva settings.
Once connected, the integration is persistent—future logins will not require reconnecting.
Note: If you run into connection issues, try clearing your browser cache before attempting again.
Step 3: Navigate and Filter Your Canva Assets
Once connected, your designs and images will populate in the Canva tab. The most recent assets appear first. You can easily scroll or refine your view using several powerful filters:
Type Filter: Choose between Images and Designs
Folder Filter: Filter by Canva folder (including subfolders)
Tag Filter: Filter by tags you’ve assigned to assets in Canva
Search Bar: Search by asset name (e.g., typing "chai" brings up an asset titled "chai")
To apply the name search, be sure to press Enter or click the search bar after typing your keyword.
To instantly fetch newly added assets from Canva, click the Refresh button.
Step 4: Select and Insert the Image
Once you’ve found the image or design you want:
Hover over the image and click Select.
The high-resolution version of the image will be inserted into your post or campaign (not a thumbnail).
Bonus: Use Canva Assets in Campaigns
You can also access the Canva integration from campaign design views. For example, while editing a viral sweepstakes campaign:
Click the image you want to replace.
Select the Canva tab.
Choose your asset (e.g., a client logo), and click Select to insert it.
Important Notes
Video files from Canva are not supported due to Canva API limitations.
This feature is available to all sub-users on your account once connected.
