Open the setup page

1. Sign in, open the account menu and choose API Console.
2. Choose Connect your tools, then Make.com, then Add a connection.

Get started in 3 simple steps

1. Install the private Make app built for your account. Click the Install button on the page. The app is not in Make's public app directory, so this link is the only way to get it.
2. Add any module from the app to a scenario. The first time, Make asks you to create a connection. Paste your API key into it. To get the key, use Create the key for this connection at the bottom of the same page: give the connection a name, click Create API key, and copy the key. It is shown once.
3. Start with the Create a Post module. Pick the workspace and profiles from its built-in dropdowns, write your text, then save it as a draft and run once. Nothing publishes.

Your profile and workspace IDs are under Your IDs on the same page, though most modules let you pick them from a dropdown instead of pasting one in.

Reacting to things that happen in your account

Want Make to react to something happening in your account, such as a post needing approval or a new sweepstakes lead? Use one of the app's Watch modules instead of the Webhook endpoints page. They are instant triggers built into the app, so there is no separate webhook to create.

Skills

Under Skills for new connections on the setup page, leave the skills switched on. Turning a skill off withholds optional expertise only. You can change them on the connection after it is created.

If the connection fails

Open Fix a problem in the API Console and run the analyzer. It is pre-filtered to Make.com.
